of a Stephen Minister?
A man like Adam who was cut off from all that gave meaning to life and needed someone to remind him of God’s promise.

The Communications Ministry Group has produced cards for members to use as they invite friends, family, and other members of the community to our services and events. Look for a letter with several cards to arrive within the next couple of weeks. Additional cards are available at the Welcome Center.
Current members are Gil Adkins, Doug Child (chair), Ken Moore, Ivor Singer, Bob Kortz, Barry VanDenBerg, Mike McAlpin, and Doug Brown.
The Communcations Ministry Group grew out of a need identified during our last interim period. Its responsibilities are to establish and improve the flow of information within the church and to increase external visibility of our church. Primary tools for these tasks are effective communication with the various church groups, our web site, the LOOP, e-mail, word of mouth, the church newsletter, bulletins, brochures, fliers, and ads. The LOOP and a redesigned website were two of the first products from this new Ministry.
The First Presbyterian Church of Maitland was organized on May 16, 1882, by Rev. William Flagler Wallace as Maitland Presbyterian Church with ten charter members. During its first several years, services and Sunday School were held in the Methodist building on the Southeast corner of Route 17 & 92 and Horatio Avenue.
An architect was commissioned to design the church after which David Morrison, a fine cabinet maker and carpenter, was commissioned to build the church which was fondly called and remembered as “The Little White Church by the Side of the Road,” and was dedicated in June of 1885.
