Small Group Overview

An Opportunity to Build Spiritual Community

Are you looking for fellowship with other Christians? Do you want others to pray, encourage, and bear your burdens in a confidential manner? Are you willing to follow four ground rules: Confidentiality, Attendance, No Advice Giving, and Participation?
If you answered YES to all these questions, there is an opportunity for you to become a part of a small group here at First Presbyterian Church of Maitland.

Currently there are fifty-two people who participate in nine small groups within our church. Each group was formed when one or two people expressed an interest in starting a small group. They found other people who had a common desire and were able to coordinate their schedules to meet on a regularly scheduled time. They began meeting together, learning about each other, studying God’s word, and becoming a real community.

Small groups come in all “packages”. There are currently small groups for couples, men and women. There are groups that meet in the morning, afternoon, evening. There are groups that meet on all different days of the week. There are groups that meet at the church, members’ homes, and restaurants. A small group is there to meet the needs and desires of its members.

We currently have 4 men’s, 3 couples’, 2 ladies, and 1 parenting active small groups.
