Dear Church Members,

We will begin forming small groups for our new Lenten series which begins on February 19th. The study is entitled “Better Together: What on earth are we here for?” by Rick Warren. The format is similar to our last study as there is the study guide, a devotional book, and a video. This study definitely emphasizes being together as a small group and encourages involvement in your group, our church, and in our community. The study seems to sum up what Pastor Ron has been preaching in regard to reaching out to others.

In the past two newsletters I have encouraged everyone to find new people to form a small group. If you have been a part of this experience, you know how remarkable it is to make new friends. If this is NOT an experience you wish to take part in, please continue your group as you normally do. If someone from your group wishes to form another group for this study, please encourage him/her to do so and then welcome them back once the study is completed.

I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you that has led a small group in the past. If you desire to be a leader/host/facilitator this time, please let me know so that I can begin making preparations for the formation of small groups. If you are a part of an ongoing small group, please let me know who will be participating in this study so that I can order books accordingly.

This study promises to deepen the community of love within our church and reach out in love to the community around our church.

I look forward to working with you once again as we reach out and build our family of believers.
